Conciergerie and Sainte-Chapelle

Conciergerie is a former jail that is now a part of Palais de Justice complex. It is open for public, and you can see there the cells of such well known people as Marie Antoinette and Danton. You will be disappointed if you decide to see the jail only. It is very small and not interesting, though the tour is pretty expensive. There are five or six cells inside plus a large empty hall.

If you combine your visit of Conciergerie with Sainte-Chapelle, you will be able to see one of the most beautiful gothic chapels in your life. It is very small comparing to Notre-Dame, but it has very beautiful stain glasses that will take all your attention. Take a look at Sainte-Chapelle here:
