My Score:
Friendly, romantic, very Paris-bistrot. Good service (neither uptight nor too formal) and cute little details (bread, sugar, olives, almond biscuits...). Excellent linen and coffee and a short but very good bodega. Nothing quite like it in Barcelona and the cartes are translated into several languages (and do make sense, too!).

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Sure one of the waiters wasn't exactly friendly but the food was so good that we went back twice and on both occasions the waiters couldn't have been nicer. Not much English spoken but there is an English menu. Also recommend that you good, the queue through the door last night (9th Jan 2004) was still going strong at midnight. Food is fantastic and at least a third cheaper than other local restaurants. Bottle of wine, grilled sardines, hake, octopus, dessert etc. was 43 Euros. Portions are big and I've never had such fresh fish. If you are looking for somewhere to go in the Gothic Quarter then please do here.
