Que Bec?

On my wife's first ever trip aboad we went to Barcelona and felt very inadequate having no Spanish or Catalan. By chance we wandered into the Que Bec? bar in the Barri Gotica and got a very warm welcome in English !!

The bar has only recently opened and been refurbished to a good standard. It's main attractions have to be the food - real Catalan cooking, superbly cooked and presented and having the not inconsiderable bonus of being all locally produced and containing no additives or colourants ; and the staff - Carlos, Marianne and Rico - genuinely friendly and welcoming, efficient and for we inadequate travellers they are English speaking, Carlos and Rico having studied Ceramics in London for several years.
