Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle is outside London in the heart of Kent, near Maidstone just off the M/20 - A/20.

Called the "loveliest castle in the world" by local promoters, it's well worth a visit for some true British character. Here you can stroll through 1000 years or more of history on 500 acres of parklands. There is also a maze and vineyard to walk through, and the gardens and aviary are amazing.

Listed in the Domesday Book, this castle has been a Norman stronghold, a royal residence for six of England’s medieval queens, a palace of Henry VIII, and a retreat for the powerful and influential.
