A huge expanse of green grass extends from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiptravelguide.com\/modules.php?name=Reviews&amp;rop=showcontent&amp;site=1&amp;rid=211\"><strong>Rijksmuseum<\/strong><\/a> on one end to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiptravelguide.com\/modules.php?name=Reviews&amp;rop=showcontent&amp;site=1&amp;rid=42\"><strong>Concertgebouw<\/strong><\/a> on the other. Also surrounding the Museumplein are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiptravelguide.com\/modules.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;site=1&amp;sid=100\"><strong>Stedelijk Museum<\/strong><\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiptravelguide.com\/modules.php?name=Reviews&amp;rop=showcontent&amp;site=1&amp;rid=163\"><strong>Van Gogh Museum<\/strong><\/a>, an underground Albert Hein supermarket, as well as embassies including the American Consulate cattycorner from the Concertgebouw.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-304\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hiptravelguide.com\/go\/wp-content\/uploads\/2002\/10\/museumplein.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"border: 0;\" width=\"350\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hiptravelguide.com\/go\/wp-content\/uploads\/2002\/10\/museumplein.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.hiptravelguide.com\/go\/wp-content\/uploads\/2002\/10\/museumplein-300x170.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/center> <\/p>\n<p>The Museumplein has some new, noteworthy features including a huge wading pool by the Rijksmuseum, that doubles as an ice skating rink in the winter. A skateboard park, kiosks selling refreshments, and an underground carpark round out the facilities. A visit to the park is recommended on sunny days or if you happen to be in the area for the museums. Evening pop or classical concerts have become very popular, and the venue has proved to be excellent, with many of the performances being aired on national TV.<\/p>\n<p>Access to the park is easy. Just take any tram heading towards the Museumplein.
