Paradiso

This is one of the most popular venues in Amsterdam. A converted church now serves a more eclectic congregation of ravers, jazz freaks, rock fans, performance artists and more. The main hall has a great dance floor and balcony. Other halls in the basement and top floor host djs and jam sessions into the morning hours. A monthly membership fee is added to tickets, which are usually very reasonably priced.

  1. Fantastic music and great venue, but the evening was spoiled as more and more people were crammed into the club. It became a huge crush, I saw a couple of girls pass out as it was very hot and there was no fresh air / air con. A real shame.

  2. The club was very good, people pass out not due to the lack of fresh air but due to the fact that they are on every drug known to man. They just use lack of fresh air as an excuse. Pathetic.

  3. People people…I thought the dutch were known for their complaining! Is the smoke getting SO thick that you can’t even see the ambiance, the atmosphere, all the people having fun?? I agree, most clubs (not only in Amsterdam, the Netherlands or Europe for that matter) are very well ventilated, so they get hot and cloudy…something to work on but please…when you write things like this on your website it gives people a very narrow view of a great venue like Paradiso!! It has a lot more to offer than smoke and rising temperatures!!
